    Background Image

    A town with its
    own rhythm.

Wallaroo sits on the eastern shore of Spencer Gulf, where the water runs flat and the sky runs wide. It’s one of three towns that make up the Copper Triangle, alongside Kadina and Moonta, a region shaped by mining history, coastal geography, and a community that chose to be here and stayed.
Life here isn’t loud. The mornings start slowly. The jetty draws the early risers. The main street fills up by mid-morning and quiets again by afternoon. It’s not a place that performs for visitors, it just gets on with being itself, which is exactly what makes it worth staying in.

There’s a reason people come to
    Wallaroo and never quite leave.

Discover the town behind the community.

    The water is
    always close.

Spencer Gulf stretches out from Wallaroo’s doorstep, calm, open, and genuinely beautiful at every hour of the day. The historic Wallaroo Jetty, stretching nearly 900 metres across deep water, is one of the longest in South Australia. Fishermen, divers, walkers, and people who simply need somewhere quiet to think, it draws them all. Lehman Road sits just minutes from the foreshore, Office Beach, and the Waterloo swimming enclosure that the whole community uses year-round.

    Everything you need.
    Nothing you don’t.

    Schools

Wallaroo Primary School serves the local community from the early years. Secondary students move on to Kadina Memorial School, a well-regarded school serving the entire Copper Triangle region, around 15 minutes down the road.

    Shopping & Services

Wallaroo town centre is minutes from Lehman Road, supermarket, pharmacy, medical centre, post office, and local shops all within easy reach. Kadina, the regional commercial hub, adds a second layer of retail, dining, and services just 15 minutes away.

    Dining & Local Life

The Bond Store, Zimmy’s Seafood, Coopers Alehouse on the waterfront, Wallaroo punches well above its size when it comes to local food. Add a heritage trail, community sport, and the annual Kernewek Lowender festival, and there’s no shortage of ways to spend a weekend.

    Sport & Recreation

The Wallaroo Community Sports Club offers an 18-hole golf course, indoor lawn bowls, and croquet. The adventure playground, sailing beach, and nearly 700km of Yorke Peninsula coastline take care of everything else.

    Three towns.
One region. A lot of life.

Wallaroo is part of the Copper Triangle one of regional South Australia’s most established and self-sufficient communities. Kadina serves as the commercial hub. Moonta carries the heritage. Wallaroo owns the coast. Together they cover everything a family, couple, or individual needs to live well without relying on the city.

A Space That Grows With Your Property Journey

Whoever you are, there's a life here for you.
    • First Home
      Buyers

You’re not just buying land — you’re buying into a town where the cost of living is real, the community is established, and you’re not starting from scratch. Wallaroo already has everything a first chapter needs.
    • Families

Good schools, open space, a safe neighbourhood, and a childhood with the beach in it. Wallaroo Rise gives families the room they need — and the town gives them the kind of upbringing that’s genuinely hard to replicate closer to the city.
    • Investors

Regional coastal communities with established infrastructure and growing demand represent some of the most resilient opportunities in Australian property. Wallaroo’s profile — as part of the Copper Triangle and sitting on the Yorke Peninsula — positions it well for long-term capital performance.
